I've missed so many months of book haul and I'm hoping to slowly share them this month, but as of right now I'm going to share last month book haul. This means that this month I'm going to take a break from buying anymore books. Beside I ran out of room on my bookshelf and would have to wait till I finish making my other shelf, but since the weather is being bipolar here I can't really fix it. (It was just snowing this morning and it's May 3rd.)
I'm starting to think I might need an intervention...

Happy Reading!

My Clockwork Prince

Sorry guys, I've been away for a very very long time. Been busy and stress from work and life (who isn't) and also been lost in my reading. I've become a hermit guys. A HERMIT! I've been hiding behind my books all these months and I've been having a hard time enjoying other books every since I finished, Clockwork Prince.I think I'm still stuck in the world of demons and warlock, but most importantly in the world of Jem Carstairs. *faint*
I've fallen in love with Jem in the second book of, The Infernal Devices. We get to learn a lot more about Jem and see more of Tessa and Jem's relationship, which I still kind of wonder how Jem could have missed Will and Tess's feeling for each other. Oh well, I'll take Tessa's place anytime!
“Wo ai ni, Tessa,” he whisper. “Wo bu xiang shi qu ni.”
“I love you and I don’t want to lose you.”

I am in love with James Carstairs! I’m afraid to read the next book, I’m afraid of what will happen to him…
Not only do we only get to learn about Jem, we learn more about Will. His reason for pushing who love and care about him away and why he's always being such a jerk. I just seriously love the part where Magnus Bane kisses Will. Love it!
Such a awesome book and I'm so sad and scare to start the third and final book, Clockwork Princess. I do not and am not ready to leave their world.

Wonderful Treasure Find -WTF

Hello :)

Aside from burying myself in my books I love going thrift shopping. There are always great things to find over there, many times I have to hold myself back from buying shelves, clocks (yes, clock) vintage looking chair and many more.

In this blog entry, I would like to share some of my thrifting (not a word, I know), from my awesome shelf to my lovely tea cups! Yes, I like to collect tea cups, especially the floral kind.
I would like to call this my, "WTF" or "Wonderful Treasure Find"  blog entry :)

WONDERFUL TREASURE FIND:

Shabby Chic shelf
I found this awesome, Shabby Chic shelf for about $5.00 at a local thrift store and didn't realize that it was a Shabby Chic shelf until I bought it. The shelf sat in our porch for a few weeks until my niece and I went to get some fresh paint and I removed the drawer on the bottom that I saw the Shabby Chic stamp on the inside. I was quite happy because I always wanted some Shabby Chic items. The previous owner must of liked the shelf to be black but I painted the shelf this shade of turquoise. So excited to finish this but have to wait till spring until its warm again to finish.

And these are my random floral tea cups that I'm obsess with and want to go look for more. I'm thinking that maybe in the future when I have enough of these tea cups and a tea pot I'll throw a tea party just for the heck of it and make everyone talk with an English accent. I'm just kidding about the English accent part or maybe not.
I also found these two pretty cute blouse for $3.00 each. They're a little big on me but I figure I'll just do some adjusting and they'll be just fine. I love them, so freaken pretty! Love the pleat and color! I especially love the lace collar on the pale mint blouse.
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
The Diary of a Young Girl Ann Frank

I got, The Mortal Instruments for about $1.00 each from our local thrift store while the other four was for about $3.00 to $4.00 each from Goodwill. (I guess this should have a "Book Haul" in the title too.) I like to look around in the book aisle just to see if they have any good books too.

There you go, my WTF!

Enjoy your day and Happy Reading!

Book Haul (4)

Okay, I am back again and might be gone for a week or more since our New Year is next weekend and I'm going to be working 10 days straight :( but its okay if I think about the money. I do need the money since the holidays are coming up and I have a lot and I do mean A LOT of nieces and nephews.
Anywho, these are my books that I have gotten since I've been away.

This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer
The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
The Dead-Tossed Waves and The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan

Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay
Girls of Nightmare and Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendra Blake
The Dark Endeavor by Kenneth Oppel
Fallen by Lauren Kate
Whats Left of Me by Kat Zhang

Hereafter by Tara Hudson
Shiver, Linger & Forever by Maggie Stiefvater

The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda
And I have finished reading some of these books, some were awesome and some were okay. I mean I wouldn't put all of them on my favorite pile but they were good enough for me to keep reading and for me to finish.

Just some of the books I've read...

The ending to, The Forest of Hands and Teeth really got me reading and even tearing up. I couldn't believe it! I was practically yelling at the characters and at times had to closed the book just to breath and take it all in. Oh, Travis... why Travis? Cannot wait to read, The Dead-Tossed Waves.
(This book reminded me so much of, The Walking Dead, maybe it was the zombie thing but it was good.)

Anna Dressed in Blood, I was really excited to read this one but somehow it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat (more like the edge of my bed since I read it when I went to sleep most of the time) and I don't understand the feelings between Cas and Anna. Maybe I needed to see more of them together to actually believe their kiss at the end and stuff. I feel like the only part that got me was when Cas and his mother were questioning the noise up in the attic and then that thing came...
I will read book two, which is, Girl of Nightmares but I'm not excited about it like the first book.

I got, The Hunt a while back and this book got me from the beginning when they ate the little kindergartner (I believe it was a little kindergartner girl, its been a while). It's really interesting how the author chose vampire for this post-apocalypse world, dark and to me, kind of goring. I had so many different emotions going on while reading this book from getting annoyed by both the main characters to feeling sad for them and loving them. The ending was so so good. I wanted to flip the page for more. Love this one!

I'm reading, Lola and the Boy Next Door by, Stephanie Perkins. Still deciding on which one to read next, either, Juliet Immortal or Whats Left of Me.

Well, happy reading!

I'm back

It's been a while, I know...
Been busy with work and with the holidays coming up I'm going to be doing more holiday hours, therefore this does not leave me with much time to be on here. Plus my mom is in California now and I'm missing her like crazy!!! (I know that has nothing to do with my lack of blogging but just thought that I'll throw that in.)
Anywho, I have a whole bunch of books to share with all of you... only that I haven't had the time to actually get all of those books from my shelf down and take a picture or two. *Sigh* I procrastinate too much too :(

I've been doing some awesome bargain shopping with some of my clothes and books! YES, I said books!!! My niece think that I should stop buying books until I finish reading the ones on my shelf, but the thing about all book lover is that we all know that we can never have enough books.
My pale minty blouse is from goodwill for only $3.00 and I'm loving it!!! Love the lace collar :)
I thought that I'll wait till next year to read, Lola and the Boy Next Door by, Stephanie Perkins but I couldn't help it... I missed Anna and Etienne! I removed the cover/jacket because I carried the book in my bag to read during break or when it's slow at work and didn't want anything to happen to the jacket.
I will post pictures of my mega (at least to me it's mega) book haul after I find time to take pictures of them all.

Happy Reading!
